BIOGRAPHY OF CHERYL MARTINEZ

International EDM Vocalist CheRyl (pronounced Che-Real) was born Cheryl Martinez on October 13th in Long Island, New York. Her diverse heritage includes Puerto Rican, Spanish, Italian, and Irish roots. At the tender age of 3, CheRyl took her first dance class, and never looked back. Her love for dance grew into a true passion for performing. As she got older CheRyl added private vocal lessons and acting workshops to her already intense study of the art of dance. Furthering her education brought CheRyl to the upstate region of NY where she graduated with honors from SUNY Binghamton earning a Bachelor's Degree in Comparative Literature with a concentration in Dance & Theatre. While at BU she received her Aerobics Certification by AFAA while working as a Choreographer for the University & at local studios. She also served on the Executive Board of the International Sorority Alpha Phi.

After college CheRyl moved to New York City to pursue her career in the entertainment industry. Once arriving, CheRyl dove into the hectic NY scene taking advantage of any chance she could get to be on stage or in front of the camera. People who have had the pleasure of working with CheRyl have been quick to describe her as “professional, outgoing, versatile, and extremely driven.” When we asked CheRyl what it takes to succeed she responded with “follow your heart, never give up, and let God lead the way!”

When viewing her extensive Resume you will see that CheRyl has accumulated numerous acting credits in Major Hollywood Feature Films & National Prime-Time Television Shows. She has been tapped by the music industries biggest artists to showcase her talents as a dancer in mainstream music videos. CheRyl has appeared in countless magazines & red carpet events for A-list clientele. While this multifaceted star concentrates her talents on her music career, her list of successful endeavors continues to grow. Producers throughout the USA, Spain, London, Germany, & India have sought out CheRyl’s creative songwriting skills. CheRyl has performed her original music all over the world including the National Puerto Rican, Dominican, & Gay Pride Parades, the NYC Marathon, Hearts For Haiti Concert, Women in Need Foundation, Festival Hip-Hop Latino, Festival De Danza, MMA Spain… and the list continues!

CheRyl released her much-anticipated Debut Album MSA on Memorial Day in 2011, as one of her songs was a tribute to the soldiers.
