Bio

They go by the name Chet & Captin, born in 1987 and the other in 1989. Baltimore rappers, who grew up musically inclined listening to rap legendary groups like No Limit and Ruff Ryders. In 2005, Chet decided to do his own thing and created his own 5 men independent group, which comprised of J. Bland, Captin, T-Mack, Black Ceas and himself. They started off battling anyone who they felt was better than them, as a way of calculating their own talent. After winning a lot of local rap battles, Chet, Captin and Their team decided they wanted to start recording. With no one willing to support this movement, in 2006 Chet bought a laptop, Captin bought a $30 microphone, downloaded Limewire, and the game began. Their first mixtape was called "Thug Chains Vol. 1, The Frontline", which was a way of starting their own unsigned hype mixtape from Baltimore, something like “Gangsta Grillz”. In 2007, Chet was arrested, and charged with several charges. In Chet’s absents, Captin carried on their name. After Chet beat the case and was released from jail, Chet and Captin recorded “Thug Chains Vol. 2, The Secret Weapon”. By this point Chet had learned how to make his own beats. In 2008, Chet didn’t record any music and focused more on producing for local artists in Baltimore while Captin rapped over anything Chet presented to him. Everything didn't work out with this one and in his own words Chet declares, "Unfortunately in Baltimore everyone thinks everything is free. So being that my beats were not selling I took beats that I made and in 2009 Captin and I started recording our CD "Honesty & Loyalty”. Now we just sit back and see where this takes us!"
