"Back Stage Pass"

“In two decades of covering local bands, I’m not sure I have ever seen a more loyal bunch in my life.”

“If you hang in any of the area rock clubs, chances are that you have most likely seen a black leather jacket with the SANTORINES logo silk screened on the back. There are over 150 of these jackets out there and on the nights when John performs you find them by the dozens.”

“This is one of the loudest, craziest cult followings of any Chicago band.”

“The band is a three-piece ballsy, in-your-face, hard rockin’ unit. They are driven to crank.”

-Chicago: Tony Shark, “Backstage Pass”

"Illinois Entertainer Magazine"

“This is some heavy stuff akin to Tool, but with better vocals.” - Illinois Entertainer Magazine

"Philadelphia Music Conference Seminar."

“To promote your band you have to look no further than Santorines.” - George Stein, New York Music Attorney,

Dear John,

I wanted to write and formally thank you for your tremendous performance at my concert at the Riviera Theatre this past Saturday. First of all, you and your band played an incredible set, the likes of which I have not seen in a long time. I have seen many great guitar players in this area rely on their chops exclusively, but you add some truly excellent songs and a great stage presence into the mix, with the result being an overall great show. Of course, the large, loud, and enthusiastic crowd you bussed in from Joliet helped set the mood of the evening, reminding me why I got into this in the first place.

But aside from the musical strengths you brought to the show, I was equatfy impressed with the professionalism which you, your band, and your crew displayed throughout the night. Everything came off without a hitch or a bitch, and this too is not as common as it should be. Throughout the entire time we have been working together towards this show, you have been the consummate professional and a pleasure to deal with. I have no doubt that you will go as far as you want to with your career, and I would love to have you back at the Riviera at another show in the hopefully not too distant future. Please let me know if I can ever be of assistance with anything.

Sincerely,
Barry Waterman
Watermania Enterainment

P.S. I still can't believe that your tape was done with an 8 track - it sounds like it was recorded at a professional 24 track studio!
