Chill FX

The music of Chill FX consists of primarily original compositions with influences ranging from Coltrane to Chick Corea, from Earth Wind and Fire to Yellowjackets. Our sound relies on equal contributions from all musicians. What sets Chill FX apart from other jazz groups is that we are as diverse as the metro Detroit area itself. This proves to be a strength when appealing to a wide audience. Every member brings with them their own set of expertise and experience. Craig is a seasoned veteran of the recording industry; Dana comes to Detroit via LA where he studied Music Composition at USC; Ken is a graduate of the esteemed jazz program at Wayne State; Chuck brings a vast knowledge of all things bass and all things Detroit; Moses just seems to know every musician in the area, from the concert violinist to the church music director (six degrees from Moses); and Hope, Moses' daughter, lends her smooth vocals. Most importantly, we view Chill FX as an extension of family, and we treat each other as such. It would be an arduous task to create high quality music unless you truly enjoy the company of the ones with whom you are making music.
