Chilly Willy

Raised in the streets of Maple Hill, North Carolina. While growing up Chilly Willy looked up to the local dope boys as mentors and family. During his younger years he says "the hood was more alive, but now that all the guys I looked up to are in the feds it seems different. People don't fuck with each other no more, the hol vibe is dead," so Chilly Willy sees his music as a way to help not just his hood, but all hoods. Growing up in a musical family, music has always had a big impact on his life learning to play the piano at an early age. As he grew older and people started taking notice to his musical abilities and diverse rap style, he felt it was time to take his rap career more seriously. Being introduced to Still Free Entertainment through a cousin, who works at the label as an A&R, he looked to take his career to the next level. When asked what Chilly Willy felt he could bring to an already overly crowded music industry he replied; "just a message that I feel the game needs to hear and I want to bring life back to my hood cuz it's hard being noticed where I'm from, so I would like to show my hood something more." With his musical influences coming from rappers like T.I. and Young Jeezy he hopes to one day share the same stage. Chilly Willy looks to revive the music game in North Carolina and to bring something back to his hood that they all can share and be proud of.
