Lyrics

One Horse Town

Written By: Darren Forster

I rolled into a one horse town,
Without my lover by my side…
She left me alone in the middle of the night,
After finally standing her ground…

CHORUS
Still trying to shake my past,
But I cant stop thinking of you…
The night just became so dark,
And still I’m thinking of you…

It was a sleepless night, with a beer before dawn,
This is a life I did not choose…
I’m sitting alone in the back of a bar,
Drinking and thinking of you…

CHORUS

It was a sad, sad night when I found myself,
In the arms of another girl…
When you walked in I remember your eyes,
It was the end of our perfect world.

CHORUS

CHORUS

Colder

Colder

Well I, I know it all too very well,
Those stories pitching heaven vs hell...
I Said I, I know it all too clear,
That when you show no expression, no one can see your tears.

I wanna be older, colder, darker stonger,
Leave me to die and I’ll only live longer...
Tell me doctor am I always gonna be this way?

I see faces... Of people I cannot see,
From a time, when we were all dreaming...
I see friends, I know I’ve long since lost,
They tell me things, I’d forgotten about my past.

I wanna be older, colder, darker stonger,
Leave me to die and I’ll only live longer...
Tell me doctor am I always gonna be this way?

I wanna be older, colder, darker stonger,
Leave me to die and I’ll only live longer...
Tell me doctor am I always gonna be this way?

Girl

Written By: Darren Forster

GIRL

When I was a young girl trying to make a living,
You said you’d show me the world…
You introduced me to so many things,
And then broke my soul.

You gave me drugs and I gave you money,
I learnt both fear and hate…
Twice I’d been fooled, then you sold me at the station,
I was back on that runaway train.

Too many times I’ve fallen, you know I’ll stand back up…
I keep on burning the path I walk, so its too hot to touch.

I was a girl in my last life...

With a mother who could duck, then drink to her troubles,
A father who was never there…
Since I began, I put it on the table,
Whilst holding all my cards to my breast.

I left my home, barely 16,
so I could find somewhere safe,
Remember me at the corner store?
I remember you remembered my name!

Too many times I’ve fallen, you know I’ll stand back up…
I keep on burning the path I walk, so its too hot to touch.

I was a girl in my last life...

When I was a young girl I was sold for your money,
And I learnt both fear and hate...
Twice I’d been fooled when you sold me at the station
I was back on a runaway train.

I was a girl in my last life.

Hey Sun

Written By: Darren Forster

Hey Son

Hey there sunny, can you see your reflection,
Does it burn your eyes every time you stare?
Hey there son, did you know your father?
Did he read your stories, when you went to bed?

Hey there polly, do you want a cracker?
Or are you going to bite from the hand your fed?
Hey there polli, did you read the petition?
About the chorus of lies that you've spread?

We wait whilst the days, just come then go,
The delusion that we're something more than bones...

Hey there buoy lets stay afloat together,
so we will never drift away,
Hey there boy, I am you father,
and you will do every god damn thing I say...

We wait whilst the days, just come then go,
The delusion that we're something more than bones...

A starry night leading too the dragons lair,
Northern lights a guide for those whom dare.

Insomnia

Insomnia

I cant get to sleep again,
I've got too many things running through my head,
I cant make these demons fly away...

When I close my eyes, I see them standing there,
I can see their eyes, right in my head,
I cannot make these demons fly away...

How can I rest my head,
On a pillow that want me dead,
I cant make these demons fly away...

How do I find a place that I can rest?
How does a day, a month, a year, fail to have an end?
How do I find the place, my soul can sleep?
This feeling of falling never seems to end...
