Bio
Chip Suhoi is the solo project of Philly-based musician and producer Nick Hoffman. Starting in 2016, Nick began releasing lo-fi hip hop beats on SoundCloud, which featured an array of samples from 70s and 80s music juxtaposed against more modern hip hop drums, and topped off with smooth, dreamy keys and synthesizers. In 2017, Nick started to branch out more into songwriting, inspiring new ventures into the realms of Bedroom Pop and Synth Pop. Around the same time, Nick began collaborating with fellow Philadelphia producer and deejay DJ-Sun on a collection of Hip Hop beats which will be released in the Fall of 2018. Finding that they worked incredibly well together, the two producers continued to collaborate, each influencing the other's sound. Although Nick's music has changed somewhat over the past few years, the dreamy aesthetic in his music has remained.
