"Steel Bill" has performed with Dennis Edwards, formerly of Motown's Temptations, and has been the opening acts for Aretha Franklin, The O'Jays, The Chi-Lites, The Dells, Tyrone Davis, Willie Clayton, Bobby Rush, Otis Clay, Vanessa Williams, and many other acts.
He has personal compositions on noted artist, including "Bare Mouthed Woman" released on Bobby Rush's "Hoochie Man" album, "Freak" released on Tyrone Davis' "Simply Tyrone album, "Wrapped Up" released on King Floyd's "Old School Funk" album ,and "Your Sweet Love" released on Pat Brown's "Ladies' Night Out" album. Currently his signature CD, " A Tribute To David Ruffin" is blazing the airwaves.

SLAVE is an internationally recognized band, specializing in American funk music. Our band members are all college music majors with a diverse group of talent.
SLAVE has performed at many venues across America, and locally. Venues such as The Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana, The Hard Rock Casino in Gary, Indiana, Arcada Theater, Washington Park, Festival of Life, The Yellow Box, and many others festivals and arenas internationally.
We can work very well with sound engineers in that we provide a professional stage plot easily readable for your stage crew. We have a dedicated person to work with your team so as to have a premium sound. If needed, we can bring our concert mixing system on wheels to plug directly into your system to minimize the time for soundcheck and provide a good starting point for your sound engineer.
