Formed in 2001, Chi Weapon started life on the Isle of Bute, off the west coast of Scotland, as a humble 3-piece rock band but have since re-located to Glasgow and evolved into a genre-defying quartet.
Chi Weapon like to indulge in spontaneous improvisation which goes some way to explain why the music and attitude of the band is rarely seen elsewhere. This attitude towards their craft means that every live performance is different and always exciting. However, simple, snappy pop is also on offer at a Chi Weapon gig and new songs such as ‘Sparky’ ‘Aerial’ and ‘Sorry Soul’ have already become staples of the Chi Weapon live set. The band have been wowing audiences in Glasgow as well as throughout Britain, including the famous Wickerman Festival and the Carling Academy Islington. Haven't heard Chi Weapon? Imagine rock songs played by a funk band with a left-field record collection. Influences range from the Mars Volta to the Meters, Prince to Pink Floyd.
