BIO: New Bedford, MA
Jasmine Baptiste aka ChizMac is a talented and charismatic rap artist. Her passion for music started as an adolescent. Influenced by JayZ, Jadakiss, and T.I. she began rapping at the age of sixteen, participating in schoolyard rap battles and ciphers. Born and raised in New Bedford, MA aka Secret City, a city that is south of Boston, MA. Growing up on the west end of Secret City wasnt always easy. Her love for rapping and fashion kept her out of trouble. Her versatile rap style and unique ability to connect with the streets and mainstream audiences became the perfect platform for her to showcase her talents, voice and spotlight some of the dim realities of her surroundings. Chiz Mac continued to sharpen her rap skills, collaborating with some of Secret Cities finest MCs, Siahlaw, P-40, Rem, Codeine and others to form Black Movement. A few years later, she teamed up with Siahlaw, Randy, and Aaron to start her own independent label/club promotions company called ARSTO Entertainment Music Group to promote her music. She took to the main stage, opening up for national acts like the legendary Ghostface Killah, French Montana, Jim Jones, Meek Mill, Max B, Maino, Jadakiss, and many more.
Today, ChizMac is teaming up with Siahlaw to form the dynamic group "Mickey & Mallery" This year they plan to release an untitled concept album/mixtape produced by AraabMusik of Dipset, The Rightbros., The Hayes Brothers and many more. She will release her Come Fly with Me mixtape soon!
