Bio
Chloe Hennessee is a 17-year-old award-winning singer-songwriter from New York City. In the fall of 2017, she won the Grand Prize in the My NYC Teen Songwriting Contest sponsored by Guitar Mash and the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment. She then performed her winning song, Awake, at City Winery - backed up by the fabulous Mark Stewart (Paul Simon) and the Guitar Mash House Band. In 2018, Awake also placed 1st in the Teen Division of the New England Songwriting Competition sponsored by the Eventide Theatre Company. In 2019, Chloe placed 3rd in a national songwriting competition sponsored by Sam Ash called Memories with Melodies. Song entries were meant to raise awareness and combat stigma associated with Alzheimers and Dementia. Chloe had the honor of performing her beautiful song, One Day at a Time, at a fundraising event in San Antonio in June of 2019.
In 2013 when Chloe was only 11, she recorded her first EP, which consists of 5 original songs written between the ages of 8 and 11. Then in March of 2019, Chloe released her second album titled, Ups & Downs. Produced, recorded, and mixed at The Ice Plant Studio by the talented Wayne Silver, Chloe’s second album consists of 7 original songs that showcase the passion, nuance, and power of an already formidable songsmith.
Ups & Downs contains 7 originals including a new arrangement of Awake.
Chloe had a wonderful time performing on the Martin Stage at her first MusikFest in Bethlehem, PA this past August and is thrilled to now be an official Martin Guitars Artist!Band Members
