"Meet Chloë …"

It’s difficult to not smile when you meet Chloë. Energetic, eloquent, engaging and enchanting, the redheaded Miami Beach native is, without a doubt, a testament to the adage that big things come in small packages. I met the pint-sized beauty when we were 8 years old, in the Principal’s Office – but nope, Chloë was not there for disturbing the peace but rather for bringing a sense of peace to the elementary school’s newest student – an Argentine, non-English-speaking import known as me. Chloe was the first friendly face I saw that day and became one of the friendliest faces in my childhood… It’s hard to believe it has been more than 15 years since the days of The Secret Garden, flamingo clubs, and whiteout-style French manicures (more on all of those later).

Chloë has grown up to be a dedicated, passionate and talented artist in every sense of the word. Having graduated with a BFA from Marymount Manhattan College, Chloë, a member of the Screen Actors Guild, has experienced success in off-Broadway musicals and film. Most recently, she collaborated with Atlanta native, Clifton Jennings on this captivating track from the rapper’s A Georgia Boy EP. This year, she’s striving to reach her “Breaking Point,” and quite literally so, with the release of her such-titled EP, which will be released in one week, at a May 21 release party in New York City. A mix of pop-and-rock, inspired by the likes of Pink and Kelly Clarkson, Chloë’s first EP is set to deliver her heart-and-soul, wrapped in lyrics and melodies that blend her varied musical tastes, inspirations and thoughts – or, as Chloë so beautifully describes it, “take what was once poetry…and turn it into music.” In the span of a mere month, she wrote 45 songs, surprising even herself. After a round of producer interviews and hands-on collaboration, Chloë is ready to let her poetry fly free.

In the meantime, “like” her on Facebook or follow her on Twitter, and stay tuned for more.

The EP’s first video premiere will coincide with its release via iTunes and Amazon. If it’s anything like Chloë, you’ll be smiling upon the first melodic encounter.

"Breaking Point"

Breaking Point

Yesterday, my childhood friend, Chloë Cahill, released her first EP, fittingly titled “Breaking Point.” At 9 p.m. NYC time, Chloë did in fact reach her breaking point, achieving a lifelong dream: her own album. After years excelling in the film and musical theatre scenes, Chloë is ready (and positioned) to take her career to the next level, with a great commitment to rich vocals, deep lyrics and a hands-on attitude that has revealed a perfect blend of pop and rock in her first release, made possible with the cooperation of a diverse group of personally selected producers and songwriters.

From the melodically haunting “Paint Me” (written by Chloë and produced by Eric Haywood), which showcases her strong vocal background, and the edgy pop-infused “Out of Reach” (written by Myke B and produced by Ronnie & Larson Productions and Pat Avard), to the dance-friendly, Latin-beat-inspired “Lucky” (produced by Rachard Lloyd), Chloë’s first five songs have everything to make them playlist favorites; they’re already on mine.

Stay tuned for more from Chloë; she’s just getting started. “Breaking Point” is now available on iTunes and Amazon. - Ciao, Valeria

Vocal powerhouse Chloe Cahill brings conversations to a halt when she enters a room. She has the rare combination of poised social grace and a magnetism that could pull the paint job off a cadillac. Mix that with a voice that recalls Christina's riffing, Kelly's angst, and Adele at her most desperate, and you've got the kind of young performer record executives kill for. Chloe's formal training at Marymount Manhattan explains her command of the stage and her near hypnotic control of an audience; but the quality of her voice and the story of a little red-headed girl, adopted at birth, raised by a single mother, and determined to outlast the oppression and out-sing her competition, is what truly defines Chloe Cahill and her music.

Chloe self-released her first single, "Out of Reach" which can be heard on her new website, and is available on itunes. Her website will also serve as the primary platform for her free Christmas project currently being recorded in New York and Atlanta.

2012 will be a busy year for Chloe. She is working on another single, slated for Spring Break, as well as a full length covers album and an entirely original EP.
