"Chloe Johns"

I saw her at the Clubhouse the other night, and I was really impressed. Her delivery
flows smoothly, and finds it's place comfortably under your skin. She has a remarkably
expressive voice, almost mournful sometimes, sometimes with a palpable bite to it. Her
lyrical content expresses emotions that run from being playful and mischievous, to full
on misty-eyed nostalgia.
I definitely hope to see her around again. - Tulsa Musicians Network

Bio

Chloe Johns - “Music, to me, is much more than just putting words to a melody. It's about creating a song that can affect a person on their most basic level. I enjoy making music that takes you to a different place and allows you to escape”

Chloe’s been singing since she could talk and music has always been a part of her life. She plays guitar, and also the Autoharp. Her influences include Fleetwood Mac, The Judd’s, The Wreckers, Elvis Presley, John Prine, Ryan Adams, Gillian Welch, The Dixie Chicks, Blue Mother Tupelo, and The Turnpike Troubadours.

Chloe Johns, a native Oklahoman, started her singing career at the age of 9 and has developed into the kind of artist that only comes along once in a great while. Her talent is larger than life, yet she retains the sort of real, soulful earthiness that you can only find in a roadhouse cafe or a little dive on the outskirts of town. When she sings, she sings directly to the listener. She invites everyone to take part in the feelings she gets from making and performing her music.

Producer/Songwriter, Ray Hamilton knew he had found something special when he first listened to Chloe's music. They co-wrote, "We Were Young" during their first song writing session. They cut the song, and took it to Nashville to pitch it to good friend and hit songwriter/publisher, Roger Murrah (President: Murrah Music and Sr.VP of Bug Music Nashville). He was so impressed by Chloe's vocals and personality that he offered to let Chloe cut one of his songs for her record.

Although based in Tulsa, OK, the word has traveled and she has already caught the attention of such prominent songwriters like Roger Murrah, but also Mark Nessler (Disney Publishing), Ray Stephenson (Curb) Becky Hobbs (independent), Terri Jo Box (Sony Tree), Eric Landis (independent) and Ellis Paul, who have all penned hits for artists such as, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Keith Urban, Rascal Flats, George Straight, Billy Currington, Alabama, Martina McBride, Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, Steve Wariner, Tanya Tucker, Reba McEntire, Wynona, and many others.

We have also had the pleasure of working on Chloe’s project with one of Nashville’s great producer songwriters - Wayne Kirkpatrick (Little Big Town, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, Eric Clapton, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith ….) who did a guest appearance on the track “ Take All The Sky” and back up vocals on the song “Love out Loud”. We have also had the pleasure of working close with phenomenal guitarist and vocalist/ producer Chris Rodriguez (currently playing with Keith Urban and Kenny Loggins) who has turned out to be not just a session player but also a great friend!

Other musicians stepping in to help include: steel guitarist Mike Johnson (who has cut with Carrie Underwood, Terri Clark and many more). Engineer/Drummer: Matt Coles (Brad Paisley). Amazingly, all of this has happened since she signed an independent record deal with Aristar Records LLC about 6 months ago.

We are very excited, and anxiously await the completion of Chloe's first album and are currently planning a U.S. tour in 2010. We know that you'll find her humble attitude, striking beauty, and earthy voice as refreshing as we do.
