Could it be "Chocolate domination" on MySpace & YouTube downloads, as fans go wild for Chocolate Blonde’s promo tracks ‘Role Play’ and ‘Say Something? 2010 sees this versatile songstress set to raise the bar with her refreshing take on pop / rnb.

Chocolate Blonde aka Monica Dhinn is no stranger to the music industry - The Nigerian born songstress is a multi-talented artist with the drive and passion to succeed!

Chocolate came from a boarding school education and worked her way through college & dance school to keep her dream alive. Her exuberant personality shines through in all that she does as she adds “I live and breathe music, it is what I do , I can never see myself doing anything else”.

In a short but impressive career, this budding starlet has supported US platinum r&b star’ Mario’ on his UK tour and was backing singer for ex Mystique singer, Sabrina Washington (recently starring in ITV’S ‘I’m a celebrity’).

Her track ‘Say Something’ featured on the Nokia Green Room on channel 4. She also won ’best newcomer’ at the prestigious MP3 Music Awards in 2007 as well as performing at a host of renowned venue’s both in the UK and overseas.

The young singer started out as a trained dancer and has danced for the likes of, Kylie, Robbie Williams & the Artic Monkeys to name but a few. After working hard on her dancing skills she later became a well known choreographer who went on to choreograph for the likes of Wyclef ft Missy Elliott and Joe Budden.

Aside from the dance & choreography, Chocolate Blonde has also graced the small screen, having appeared in various TV commercials including lilt drinks and the ad campaign with iPod featuring U2.
This trend is set to continue as her rise to fame is currently being documented by documentary film maker Ashton John. He is profiling the highs and lows of Chocolate’s rise to the top in a ‘fly on the wall’ documentary.

Ashton John is known for his fabulous take on 'love is' which was a featured art installation in Carnaby Street as well as other venues in & around the Capital. The documentary on Chocolate Blonde is still ongoing so if you see her out & about being followed with a camera- Jump in and say hello! (www.ashtonjohn.com )

Why Chocolate Blonde?
Chocolate skin.... blonde mind of course!

So where does this gifted young lady get the inspiration for her catchy songs?

She writes all her own songs and has a musical ear for her sound and she blends her often ‘frank’ & ‘direct’ delivery with a cool soulful voice and dance moves to blow you away! Chocolate can be classed as an all-round talent and she also plays the drums!

How does Chocolate Blonde unwind?
“I listen to the slow jams or watch a movie”
