ChoirGirlz became friends while singing in The Toronto Mendelssohn Choir -- and after seeing O Brother Where Art Thou, decided they wanted to pursue bluegrass, country music themselves. Debbie Fleming, the director, already had a history in Country music, having been the leader of the backup vocal group on the Ronnie Prophet TV show, and having released her own country recording in 1994. The blend of these three voices is nearly other-worldly, and the discipline all three singers developed from choral singing and session singing has made their sound a total pleasure for their audiences. All three girlz are songwriters, and their original songs are very popular with their followers. An audience walks away feeling they have made a total connection with each of these special ladies.
