Chop Chop Band

The Chop Chop Band was born in Barletta, Apulia, in 1992: the reggae beats around the charismatic figure

Pino Pepsee frontman, singer, guitarist and composer. The six musicians from experiences

artistic different, they share a passion for the sounds of Jamaica, for the black music, reggae as

lifestyle and song of complaint letting contaminate the hip-hop scene more contemporary and

without sacrificing the solid tradition of Italian singer-songwriter.

The early years of the band have been busy in live concerts, spreading alive Vibration

and rebellious in social and autonomous collective centers throughout Southern Italy, Catania and Perugia, from Matera to

Rome.

In 1995 the band recorded the demo "Reggae Revolution" and contributes to the compilation "Sonica 96" with

song "Questione di valori" and is finalist at the Adidas Streetball Milan.

There is a growing belief in their own ability and also increasing the training, which also provides copious

horn section in ska style for a total of ten elements.

In 1997, the fame of the Chop Chop Band ballooned thanks to the publication of "Fiore Di Terra"

distributed in 40 thousand copies with the "Avvenimenti". Continued without stopping the live activity,

In May 2004 finally he released the album "Ci sei O No !?", published by the label V2 Music 

Sony distributed, and supported by a new tour around Italy and some European countries. In 2009 he was

Sunshine published the album, an album with experimental sound and featuring with many national and international Djs



Since 2010 the band goes back to work back to the reggae music and continuing the activity live and dj-live set

After a long period of experiences, experiments and collaborations, Here comes again the band with new ideas

and proposals aimed at the publication of the new album. The first single is "Un Po 'Di Volume" summer

To April 2016 released by Fridge Records and the new album Goodfellas "Rialimenta". A new album

positive light that preserves the refinement of texts and attention to social issues has always been dear to
