"Pasadena based power-pop band C-Horse"

Pasadena based power-pop band C-Horse is emerging from a few months of inactivity with a month long Friday night residency at Casey’s Irish Pub in downtown LA. There are few bands in the Southern California music scene that meld pop bliss with enough bite to get you moving. They are the type of band once you’ve heard, you realize you’ve been needing in your life. They are working on releasing a new 7inch single and accompanying music video.

"EVERY FRIDAY THIS MARCH: C-Horse @ Casey's Irish Pub"

One of our favs, C-Horse, is having their residency at Casey's Irish Pub every Friday this month. Comprised of Cecilia Enriquez (vocals/guitar), Lindsay Mancha (bass/vocals), Mack Marquard (keys/guitar) and Courtney Olsen (drums), C-horse's songs radiates warmth, a feel of suburban summers and sunset piers. Look for them to debut their new video for "Tongues" as well as playing some new songs they've been working on. This Friday, The Digs join them with Derde Verde the week after and then Socorro on March 30th. - Picksysticks.com

"C-horse March residency at Casey’s Irish Pub"

Casey’s Irish Pub in downtown Los Angeles continues to provide free live music with resident bands from the area’s finest local crop. We’ve seen killer shows from Seasons, Manhattan Murder Mystery, The Terrapin… Fridays in March belong to C-horse.

Mr. Mack Marquard holds down keys in what is otherwise the all-girl retro-pop act from Pasadena, C-horse. Brainchild of guitarist/vocalist Cecilia Enriquez, the band has taken form and flight with Lindsay Mancha on bass/vocals, and Courtney Olsen drums/vocals. Their bubbly sound conceals a light dose of dreamy, psychedelic undertone – which dims the sunshine down enough to avoid the sticky realm of bubble gum pop. Their infectious tunes have earned them airplay on KXLU 88.9 FM Los Angeles, and a welcome spot in DHR’s rotation.

C-horse will be continuing their Friday residency at Casey’s Irish Pub in Los Angeles with performances on Mar. 23 and 30, and they’re also playing Silverlake Lounge on Apr. 24. - DirtyHippieRadio.com

Bio

Songwriter Cecilia Enriquez formed C-horse in 2007 as an avenue for her original pop songs. A demo of the first C-horse songs was circulated among a close-knit group of Los Angeles musicians, and Enriquez' accessible songwriting style, influenced by 60s and 70s rock and pop, quickly attracted local support. Enriquez went on to record her self-titled debut record, produced by Joel Morales of the band Dios. This album, laced with intricate vocal harmonies and packed with a powerful pop sensibility, was well-received by friends and fans alike.

C-horse has evolved into a solid unit, with the help of some of Enriquez' musical friends: bassist Lindsay Mancha, drummer Courtney Olsen, and keyboardist Mack Marquard. As new material flourishes, the band continues to play shows throughout the Los Angeles area and plans to record the second C-horse album this year.
