With a fluent style, commanding voice, and an appearance that is a blend of surfer and casual prep, Chrief is ready to appeal to the nation and the world as the next great Hip-hop star. This combination of traits and styles is undoubtedly unique and deviant from some of the common, almost monotonous styles of rap coming from the South. Chrief adds a new dimension to southern-style hip-hop.
Chrief first appeared onto the music scene in 1993 as a dancer opening for such groups as: Dis-N-Dat, 12 gauge, 69 Boyz, H-Town, and ect. But in 1994 he chose to try his true passion, rapping. After frivolous attempts at the young art (rap/hip-hop), Chrief chose to take his passion seriously and make a diligent pursuit at becoming a mainstay in the popular hip-hop culture.
Chrief has performed at such venues as Blues In The Alley in Underground Atlanta, Parelli’s, and Maple Street Mansion. Evolving from his from his solo debut album, Knockin Me Off, he has begun work on his next album, Rap Star and is currently partaking in collateral projects with local celebrities like Paris Luna (http://www.ParisLuna.com). Chrief is sure to give a flavor that is pungent yet smooth to your listening taste.
