How the Fall Makes You Feel, 2010

Bio
It was Chris's first day of college in 2003. Jenna, as usual, was late. But, meet they did, and their friendship was fast. They started to play music together the following year to entertain a (small) crowd at a Milk and Cookies campus event. Chris's indie-punk-rock inclinations and Jenna's jazzy, bluesy folk tunes were an odd pairing at first, but as the years went on they began writing and gradually fusing their sounds together. They dated for a while, botched it up horrendously, and started fresh while they recorded their first album, How the Fall Makes You Feel. Things worked out much better the second time around, and they tied the knot in 2011.
Playing coffee shops, clubs, and churches, the duo alternate between intimate acoustic sets and full-band shows. They count Sara Bareilles, Gungor, The Swell Season, and Ben Folds as imaginary friends and major musical influences. Their writing styles have melded as their lives have through marriage, and they seek to capture the joys and falls of life on earth through their music. They are on the search for light to shine on the truth that hides under the lies the world tries to sell as it tells culture how to define beauty, honor, love, and self-worth.
Chris & Jenna are hard at work writing their upcoming sophomore album. When they're not writing, they play their originals, lead musical worship at different churches, change the words to pop songs to make them about Christmas, and make videos featuring on-the-spot ukulele songs during road trips to see the World's Largest Bizarre Things (also known as Chris & Jenna's Big Adventure). 100% of the proceeds from their first album go to Compassion International to fight hunger and poverty worldwide.
