Bio
Chris Barber's lyrics posesses a deep emotional sensibility that connect with his audience in a very sweet and nostalgic way. "Winslow" invokes the narrative style of Harry Chapin, with elements of americana against New England backdrop. When read, the words seem to have their own melody, and there is an almost instant comfort in the music itself, like the song you have known all your life....Singer/songwriter Christopher Barber has shared the stage with a variety of recording artists, including; Sister Hazel, Edwin McCain, Thin Lizzy, Robin Trower, The Marshall Tucker Band, Deborah Gibson, NRBQ, Deep Blue Something and Flock of Seagulls. As a young musician, he discovered the fretless bass, drawing style and rhythms from exposure to rock, R&B, soul and later, jazz and fusion. A passionate student of music, Christopher continues to explore new avenues of music, now as an acoustic guitar player and composer.
