Bio

Chris Capalano is a Chicago based rapper, born and raised on the near north side of Chicago. Being of African American and Italian heritage he grew up with a unique outlook of the world around him. Like many inner city young men, Chris descended into street hustling.
Chris soon realized that this was not the path for him and made the decision to move to New York. It was there, on the streets of Brooklyn New York, where his passion for the art of hip-hop began to grow. He learned in the birth place of the game and never looked back.
Chris later returned to Chicago, where he continued to hone his writing skills and worked on his delivery. The result, was a shockingly vivid story telling style, that caught the attention of Chicago's growing underground hip hop scene. Known as the "Northside Hustla" because of his work on the Chicago mixtape battlefield, his fan base continued to grow.
His work habits in the studio are no fluke, he wants to be considered one of the best ever. Today, Chris is considered one of the best lyricists in the mixtape game. His ability to bring words to life, combined with his understanding and ability to make the right music and lyrical choices that help him tell better stories, are his biggest strengths.
The result is a vibrant and unique yet commercial sound.
Chris has shared the stage with many great artists such as, Fabolous, Faith Evans, and Nelly and D12, as an opening act at the House of Blues.
He has also shared the stage with Young Joc and Ludacris, as part of a college tour that made a stop at the University of Illinois in Champaign.
Chris has released an abundant amount of classic mixtapes hosted by Power 92's DJ Jamal Smallz, such as “Natural Born Hustla,” and “Hustla’s Format,” and the Critical successful Mixtape Legendary. the result is a fast growing fan base.
His current mixtape, "Legendary," has already gained Radio play and much buzz on the streets, as have the videos he's filmed to support the mixtape.
Chris is simultaneously preparing for his new mixtape release, and a planned college tour. As he moves forward Chris hopes to play at some of the bigger music fest around the U.S. He looks forward to more recording, touring and shooting more videos. Where most artists seem to focus on the glamour aspect of the business, Chris's sole purpose is the music. He understands only hard work is going to get him to his goal, and he is ready for the world to hear what he has to say.
