Hey chris! How ya doin today?
good, good, and yourself?


Good! So tell me, what's the craziest thing you've done lately?
hmmm...well, I can't really think of anything too crazy, but since I'm on the spot right now and need a quick answer (laughs) I would have to say transforming into a completely different schedule of playing shows, hangin out at the bar, then hanging with friends and finally going to sleep when the sun comes up. For that to be a daily routine could be considered crazy, I guess. (smile)


Yeah, well I'm totally just trying to break some glaciers here.


What made you wanna become an artist? To be honest with you, I didn't have this big epiphany where I said, "Okay, from now on I will make my living singing!" (laughs) but over time, I began to see people's faces and here their comments on my music and how it had helped them through hard times in their own lives which made me feel that was doing something right.


Interesting, and did your family and friends support you. My parents have been incredibily supportive every step of the way. I did have some distant family that had their doubts, but now, they have turned into the most supportive ones. (laughs) My friends are a different story. They never had anything bad to say, but at the same time, they never got excited either. Even to this day, I'm just Chris to them. I kinda like it that way.


In your opinion, what do you think of your music? It freakin' rocks!!!! (laughs) No, just kidding. Well, I think it's very diverse and has a little bit of everything for everyone. It's very hard to please everyone, but I feel as if my music does in some way. Some of my tunes can get people up shakin' their groove thang and then others are very deep and can bring some tears.


For all those lusting ladies out there, are you single? (laughs) You know what's funny? Most artists would say something like "I like to keep that private." Even though that's probably the smart thing to do, I never like hearing it so I'll tell you. At the moment I am single, but I do care deeply for someone. We both agreed that now is not the time. We both have to much to focus on. I am in love, but single and lovin' it. Make sense?


Do ya'll bang? No, um, what kind of fans would you say you have? Groupie type, or Dave-matthews cult type? (laughs) My dear Lord! Neither really. I mean, every artist has a little bit of both, but mine, are much like friends too. I try to make every person feel comfortable at the shows and encourage them to come and say hello afterwards. It's so cool to see people come up to me all nervous, but honestly, there's no need for that. I've been known to meet some great people after shows and end up taking them out afterwards. I love to spend time with my fans. After all, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing it if weren't for them.


Who's your hero? I gotta say my parents. Now days, parents are spoiling the hell out of their kids and giving them every thing they want. That drives me crazy! If I ever wanted anything, my parents made me work for it. As a parent, I'm sure it's hard to say "no" but it needs to be said. When I was growing up, I hated it, but it has turned me into a very humble person and I have them to thank.

What about your idol? Is that the same thing? (laughs) I'll break it down for ya...As a musician, it has to be Stevie Wonder. He has overcome all odds and has been one of the best songwriters and performers in music history. A great voice with catchy tunes and more importantly, he has amazing stuff to say. He's such a poet. As a person, it has to be my father. He is THE most hardest working person that I know and has always worked his butt off to provide for the family. At one point, he worked three jobs, with not one day off a week. He is an amazing, amazing man.

What's your favorite thing about show bizness? Getting away from the predictable life. Being able to see the country and meet new people makes each day on the road an adventure. It's rewarding that people buy something that I create, the album I mean, then take the time to tell me how much they love it and make it a part of their lives then come out to shows to see me give it to 'em live.

Would you say you prefer southern drawls or big city, fast talkin accents? Well, I was born and raised in Georgia, so I gotta say southern drawls.

What defines a woman/man as sexy? (no woman, i'm just playin around!) (laughs loud) Self assurance.

Whats your dream girl? Okay let's see... 1. Someone who's down to earth. 2. Someone who's easy to talk to a loves to have fun and live on the edge. 3. A funny girl! You have to have that! (laughs)

Do you believe in love? Of course

Do you believe in love at first sight? Yes, I do.

Have you ever been truly in love? A few times actually. It's a great feeling.
