Bio

Chris Cobbins is a passionate musician who is dedicated to his art. His dedication to music has paid off as fans and other artists have recognized his passion and talent. Chris has been featured on albums by artists such as Lecrae, Trip Lee, PRo, Anthony Evans, and Flame. His work has garnered attention from the industry as well. He has won a Stellar award for his work on Trip Lee’s album, and a Dove award for his work on Lecrae’s, “Rehab: the Overdose.” Chris received another Dove Award Nomination for his work with Flame, and a Grammy Award Nomination for his work on Lecrae’s “Rehab.”

Chris released his first solo EP, “The Medicine,” in 2010. The EP garnered critical acclaim, and the single from the album, “Chase Me Down,” received widespread airplay on CHR radio stations around the country. “The Medicine” was also Chris’s first project with the Dove Award-Winning producer, Tha Kracken!.

Chris and Tha Kracken! have now teamed up to launch a new music label, Late Bloom, in 2012. Chris began the year by releasing a free mixtape follow-up to “The Medicine,” entitled, “Get Well Soon.” The final installment of the series was released in the Summer of 2012 and titled, "Better."

Chris and Tha Kracken! are currently hard at work putting finishing touches on Chris' debut album, "Hello World," to be released in Summer 2013.

Chris and Tha Kracken! are both exceptional, dedicated artists who are committed to making the best possible art and pushing the boundaries of Christian Music. The vocal and songwriting skill of Chris, coupled with the musical production skill of The Kracken! have produced a unique sound that has been missing from Christian Music.

When Chris isn’t busy writing music and recording for his upcoming projects, he enjoys spending time with his wife, serving his local church community and working as a professional firefighter in Kansas City.
