Bio

Chris Collat started playing guitar at the very early age of five years. His father, being a musician himself, showed him everything he knew and then some. Over the years Chris developed his guitar playing, singing, and songwriting. Something that is instantly apparent is how he puts his heart and soul into everything he creates.

These creations are what most of his fans call his "Acoustic Soul". So you might ask what is Acoustic Soul? If you take famous artists like Bill Withers, Al Green, Sam Cooke, and Ottis Redding and mix them down to an acoustic guitar and a vocal you'll discover Acoustic Soul.

He has performed many shows in the Northern Virginia and Maryland areas and continues to be invited back due to his ability to capture an audience and keep them entertained.

In the last few months he has added a veteran to the music business named Rob Sukol on bass. Rob has added what Chris calls the groove to his songs. Many feel this was the missing part of Chris' musical puzzle and has added considerable depth to his performances. From their first practice he said that Rob seems to just fit. The third member of the group is Dave O'Brien. He is the rhythm in the band that keeps everything locked into place. Again he is also a piece of this puzzle that makes up, "The Chris Collat Band".

They have been touring for the past few months and have been very anxious to grow as as a band and to further cultivate their fan base which is growing on a daily basis. They are looking forward to sharing their vision with all potential clubs and listeners.
