"Easygoing Warmth!"

..The work of Chris Coulter was especially appealing, with hints of Charlie Parker's energetic style in the solos, and echoes of Lester Young's easygoing warmth when he was filling gaps in the vocalist's line.

"Outstanding Musician!"

The most daring of the group was it's saxophonist Chris Coulter, whose solos were constantly unpredictable and entertaining. He stretched every line for it's melodic possibilities, using the phrasing of a good jazz singer and the technique of a truly outstanding musician.
