Bio

Chris began playing guitar at the age of 14 and started writing songs by 15. He played in a band called superfuzz throughout high school with life long friends ben brooks and jonathan nichols. As a teenager, Chris was very influenced by bands such as: nirvana, radiohead, smashing pumpkins, Bruce Springstein, Neil Young, The Black Crowes, blind melon, led zeppelin, THe rolling stones, the beatles, weezer, and Pearl Jam. Throughout his teen years Chris played with dozens of different musicians and still has close bonds with all of them. In his early 20's Chris continued to write songs and play them with his friends. His taste in music quickly matured and so did his skill. Influenced by songwriters such as Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens, Chris's sound was starting to take shape. In 2002, Chris began playng with Ben Brooks, Haley Brooks, andTyler Council in a band called dead radio. Chris played lead guitar and co-wrote most of the songs in this band. Dead Radio was most definitely some of the funnest times of Chris' musical career, but Chris felt an over-whelming urge to pursue his own music. So Dead Radio was over in the spring of 2004. Although this bands career was short- lived chris and tyler remained close friends and occasionally jammed together. From 2004 -06 chris polished his craft and wrote dozens of songs with comical yet very heartfelt lyrics. In 2006, Chris recorded The fish out of Water demo in his buddys studio. Not long after that began playing with tyler and a new acquaintance Mitch Kane and formed The Lazy Daze. Chris is currently recording the LP Nowhere Fast and is planning on a late march release.
