Bio

hris Fredda was sent from the future to rock you. However, fluctuations in the time-space field being what they are, he has instead devoted himself to obscurity and an acoustic flavor of music that will, at best, move you a little from side-to-side. Chris first began playing guitar in high school. Being self-taught, and knowing few other talented musicians, he spent a good portion of time recording bad grunge songs and playing in bad rock bands. Upon arriving at college, Chris quickly immersed himself in the college music scene, where nearly everyone was in a Pink Floyd or Dave Matthews cover band. After a brief stint in the band In Disguise, ending in the expulsion of half its line-up, Chris became a solo artist and decided that, perhaps, he should actually figure out how to play the guitar rather than just shouting at it. Chris left the razzle-dazzle of the rock 'n roll lifestyle behind and devoted himself to songwriting, playing mostly at coffeehouses, on-campus venues, and people's dorm rooms. In this way, Chris developed a unique sound and a small but loyal following. After releasing several self-produced albums, and twice winning the WQAQ Battle of the Bands and featuring often in their CMJ weekly Top 20, he vanished from public life and is thought to now be living on a remote island somewhere. That very last part might not be true.
