Chris Habermehl

Early on in life, Chris Habermehl never imagined the direction God would take him. No matter which way he turned, it seemed that he was being drawn in the opposite direction. Chris soon realized that he was trying to build his dreams around God and not through Him.

Now, serving as worship leader for his home church, his ministry has veered down a previously unimagined path. He is now fully aware of the call and demand on his life. “My job is to help lead others into the presence of the Lord and to continue to make Him famous,” he says.

Chris was one of the founding members and the lead singer for the Christian Rock band, Paradigm, which played a variety of venues in the St. Louis region. He was honored to be chose to sing Third Day’s Consuming Fire at Busch Stadium for the Global Day of Prayer Event in 2005. After Paradigm disbanded due to scheduling conflicts in 2006, Chris began to play more solo events, which focused more on worship, rather than performance. He has played a variety of conferences and concerts by himself and his new band since then and also won 2nd Place in the Joy FM i - Sing Contest.

While a member of Paradigm, Chris met former artist agent and Good News Herald writer, Scott Milford. “Chris has one of the most intense voices I’ve ever heard. He’s humble friendly, great on stage and great on CD. His passion for God and music comes through everything he does,” Milford says.

After several years of perfecting material and allowing God to lead him the appropriate direction, Chris has finished his debut EP.
At this time, Chris does acoustic events and full band events depending on the venue. His goal is to someday travel, doing worship at conferences and events, while staying at his home church to serve as worship leader.
