Bio

Picture a fifteen-month-old singing along, in tune, with a Bob Marley LP... "every time I hear the crock of a wheep, my blood runs cold..." ; a four-year-old pointing to a violin saying "I want one of those".
Thus the beginning of Chris Haus's musical odessy that has brought him now to the verge of releasing a CD of two handfuls of his growing body of original compositions.

At the age of twelve Chris parlayed the earnings from violin gigs at weddings and funerals into a vintage early seventies Strat (instead of a Strad) and taught himself to play listening to LPs of Roy Buchanan, Peter Green, Hendrix, Cream to name a few. With a neighbor mate who drummed and a friend he taught bass to, his first band played parties, schools and won the local (Lancaster New Era) newspaper's Amped Up battle of bands competition in 2004.
Chris Haus has won accolades for his instumental performances as well as his singing and songwriting since the late nineties: Concertmeister of the Lancaster Junior Orchestra, 1999; Violinist, Pa Academy of Music tour of Tuscany, 1999; vocal soloist in a Harrisburg (Pa) Forum production of a professional touring company's Handel holiday program; National Festival of the Arts invited chorister for Philadelphia Academy of Music performance.
Working toward a violin perfomance degree through a scholarship from West Virginia University, Chris won the campus-wide talent contest as a freshman with his guitar/vocal/songwriting act.

Chris is known for high energy live performances which showcase his instrumental integrity, nack for arrangement, and gift for melodic structure.
