Biography

With all the classic influences including: The Who, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, (add at nauseam) to the more contemporary, my music continues to evolve and is just beginning to hit it’s stride. I grew up in Salem, OR a town in which the only thing going for it is it’s proximity to coast and mountains. An avid surfer (yes they exist in Oregon), I have spent an inordinate amount of time at the coast and I have been told it is evident in my music. Taking a traditional route I went to college and got a B.S. in Chemistry and a Masters in Oceanography, and only recently have I begun to chase music as a career. However, I had been playing shows as a stress reliever throughout my time at the University, and the transition has been very natural. I am currently working on my first album, Nearshore, and as an unsigned, largely unknown artist, I am enjoying my anonymity and freedom.

Right Wing Redneck

Rightwing Redneck

There’s a man I’ve seen him all around this town
His ford truck isn’t nearly large enough for him now
An American flag is painted on the back, isn’t he proud
On the bandwagon now, going with the crowd, never looking around

In a selfish game shifting the blame
A difference he could make
But he won’t change his life no way
He’d rather just complain

Please don’t think, don’t share your opinions now
If you’re not the same as the rest of us you’re not American somehow
Terror is on the mind and your support is blindly behind a president who lies
That’s nothing new that’s Republic democracy in this time

In a selfish game shifting the blame
A difference you could make
But you won’t change your life no way
You’d rather just complain

Ideas I have may not change at least not today
But I’ve been wrong, and admitting that is what makes me strong
You have to have faith, it won’t be the same the next day
That’s what it takes, a hypocritical way, just to make a change

In a selfish game shifting the blame
A difference we could make
But we won’t change our life no way
We would rather just complain

Illusion of Strength

Written By: C.E. Holm and Brie Lindsey

You call up, and act the same, as though there were no yesterday
And while I am standing here, presenting the illusion of strength
My walls are falling down, but there is, there’s no sound
The sun rains down upon my face
Washes away any trace
Clearing you out and filling your place
With a warm, a warm embrace
Left now to figure this out, you won’t talk, leaves me with doubt
Its hard enough to decipher your head, does not help, I’ve been misled
You’ve lost it all, no longer can trust, took my faith and used it all up.
The sun rains down upon my face
Washes away any trace
Clearing you out and filling your place
With a warm, a warm embrace
Cause I am finally feeling like I’m here,
I’m not detached or sheared
My head is calm, its been so long
Its finally clear, I don’t need you here, don’t need you here
Well its still in your eyes, looking for it to subside
So now is the time to lie, just tell me that its goodbye
Don’t let me down, down easy, I just need to be set free.
The sun rains down upon my face
Washes away any trace
Clearing you out and filling your place
With a warm, a warm embrace
