It’s been a wild ride since sunflower music pacific fair put the debut album on there shelf. In support of the CHB. They released it with a little acoustic performance with (drummer) Addison Johnson and Chris playing an acoustic performance. After the first song, not only was the shop full, the centre had called upon security to help clear the walk ways. (It was an amazing feeling, said the boys.)The fans were building from day one. The sunflower show went for about 40minutes and in that time they had sold the most albums any performer has while performing an in store gig. That came from the owner of Sunflower music. And Good to hear that it didn’t stop there, weeks later the sunflower store was still pumping them out. After the success of the debut album, Thanks to MGM and Green, they will now be distributing chris’ album 'heart burn' across all stores, Australia wide and globally over the internet. Thanks to the bands major sponsor SURSIDE BUS LINES with advertising on there Gold Coast buses, more and more people have been able to enjoy Chris’s music. Also 102.9 Hot Tomato have been playing the song RIDE off the album, with listeners calling up to comment of his soulful voice, not to mention how amazed they were that he is 18 and has written some of the most beautiful songs, listeners claim they are hard to get out of your head.

On the 9th of November the Chris Hutchison BAND had there CD launch at the Gold Coast Art Centre, ticket were $10 and there were 1, 204 seats to be sold. For an independent Band this amount of seats were quite a challenge, but the 9th came and so did the fans. The G.C.A.C car park was full, with fans, hot tomato vans and prime news vans. the band said, "i'm sure theres another event on" But there wasnt. The tickets were SOLD out over 1178 fans rocked up to see the talented singer song writer launch his debut album into the ever growing Australian music industry. The M.C for the night was hot tomato host Stuart Campbell who walked away raving about the way Chris put on such an amazing show. He announced on air the next day it was the biggest Cd launch ever to hit the Gold Coast. He claimed to be proud to have been involved with the cd launch and to me that sayin something, that Chris Hutchison really did entertain and leave a big impression on his ever growing Fans. The band in my opinion is word class; Chris is on his way to stardom. The band has there eyes set on touring and getting Chris’s songs heard, as they believe that’s all it will take, with the catchy sound of Chris’s style, He’s proven already to draw crowds at the sound of his voice.
