Chris Margolin & The Dregs have been working hard to earn a strong following in their hometown of Portland, Oregon. Their first EP, Fallen Leaf, earned them radio play with both singles, "Reckless," and "Simplifying Daisy." KINK FM also placed "Reckless" on their KINK Plug in Portland Volume 2 CD. They opened for The Proclaimers ("500 Miles") at Portland's Legendary Aladdin Theatre, and have been given headlining shows at several esteemed venues throughout the Portland area, including Doug Fir, and Ash Street Saloon. They are hard at work on their first full length CD, to be released in early 2010. In November of 2009, Chris Margolin was nominated for the Portland Music Awards' Best Male Artist. In January of 2010, the band was nominated for Favorite Emerging Band of 2009, by Deli Magazine.
