In 2010 Chris McCarty expanded his entertainment career by Co-starring in an upcoming independent film "Beautiful Noise"(, with his original songs, ”Butterfly" and "Believe", accompanying the Beautiful Noise Soundtrack. In March 2009, McCarty won third place out of 400 bands in Florida’s WJRR Central Florida’s Best Band contest, where fans voted online for their favorite band. McCarty opened several dates for the Dave Matthews Band during the Florida leg of their 2007 summer tour. In 2005, McCarty was the Adult Vocalist Winner of Lou Pearlman’s “Talent Rock” contest and was a finalist last year in the popular "Rockstar Supernova" television program.

McCarty has shared the stage with the legendary James Brown along with other national acts such as: Blues Traveler, The Wailers, Sister Hazel, Madeski, Martin and Wood, Pete Yorn, Afro-man G Love and Special Sauce, Average White Band.

The title song from the album “The Next One” was featured in the Sims II Video Game. In 2002, he performed at the Largest Pep-rally in the nation, Gator Growl, for a capacity crowd of 50,000 when he opened for Sugar Ray.
