"Rumors Heard in MySpace, Vol. II, Episode 1"

As we make our way across the Deep South, I want to make a stop in Birmingham, Alabama, and introduce you to another wonderful new talent going by the name of Christopher Morrison. This dude is a singer/songwriter type, strumming away on an acoustic guitar and bearing his soul to the masses. On his page, you’ll find a number of demo tunes to soak in. Now, I know how all you Waveriders lover supporting artists by going and spending your hard earned money on their music, so what the good Mr. Morrison is doing is allowing us to download his music for free. Yes . . . free. All you have to do is go to his page and follow the link to a page that allows you to download something like 15 or 20 tunes! How awesome is that? Don’t forget to thank Christopher on the way out. - MOG and The Ripple Effect

Bio

Just because you may not know Chris Morrison, doesn't mean you have not heard something he has done. Chris has been a long time singer/songwriter and has worked with many notable acts. His style of songwriting is both fresh and familiar. His acoustic style of playing is one that shows taste and reserve that almost any audience can appreciate. He brings to the stage an honest and sincere approach that can captivate and audience.

On the verge of his first solo release, which will be a mostly acoustic effort, Chris is finally ready to really buckle down and take the reins of his career.

"This has been the longest road," Chris says, talking about the rocky start in his young and promising career. And it has been. Chris has been fighting for his own way out for a long time now, ranging from fronting bands to weaving in and out of several solo projects. He has battled through a lot of things both personal and professional. But at the end of the day the only thing left for him is his guitar and his voice.

"I want to get in front of people and do something special, but without having to complicate things with a massive front or hitting them with a wall-of-sound." he says, "what I really want to do right now is something so simple and so sincere that people can connect to the heart of the message in the music without any distractions."

Chris has played many shows across the southeast area through the years, and he has opened for several nationally touring acts. He has sat in the hallways of record companies and written with some of the most talented songwriters in the south.

"I know that the fans are really what drives an artist career, and that is the kind of respect I want as an artist. Kind of like, hey we believe you are good enough to make a living doing this. [I] Haven't fully gotten that exposure yet but I am ready and willing to keep working very hard towards it everyday."

Chris puts on a great show weather it is in a smokey one room bar, or playing to a sold out crowd in a theater setting. With one guitar and his voice Chris presents his songs with a very unique style and a haunting sense of familiarity that crowds can easily connect to.
