Bio
Sparked with diversity and soul, the music of singer/songwriter Chris Mouch is new, refreshing, and unforgettable. His songs are classic in nature with a blues/soul feel. Mouch hails from Cincinnati, Ohio. He has been writing and performing music since he was 16 and was classically trained in voice. Chris has opened for many national artists including Dave Matthews Band, Toubabe Krewe, Lifehouse, and Check in the Dark.
His inspiration comes from all styles and places. "Growing up my Dad threw a lot of great music at me. I loved The Allman Brothers, Van Morrison, The Police, Clapton. Whatever I could get my hands on! Then I discovered Motown. I couldn't get enough of Sam Cooke and Stevie Wonder. I have always been very open to new sounds and inspirations." Chris sang in various jazz groups throughout college and sang in an acapella chamber choir throughout churches of Europe. If you had to describe his sound in three words it would be raw, sincere, and soulful.
Chris has relocated to Los Angeles, has a new band, new songs, and is getting ready to release a new album. The band includes bass player Dan Ehrlich, Chase Brickenden on Drums, Johnny Dwinell on guitars, and Grant Loosvelt on Keys. They are a tight group, all pro players with amazing rock and blues chops. Chris' voice soars, demands your attention, and will pull every emotion out of ya! This guy is here to stay.
