Many Trop Rock songwriters seem content to recycle the same tired island-esque stereotypes over and over again. You can almost picture them vainly attempting to lyrically re-create Jimmy Buffett's glory while banging away at a laptop in an Akron, Ohio Starbucks. But the raw honesty in Chris's music shines through, with vivid tales of beach-bound road trips, laid back days, and tiki bar nights. One definitely gets the sense that he's actively living the adventures he sings about, making them all the more colorful and engaging. Even the classic Toyota FJ Land Cruiser that graces the cover of his debut CD Nowhere is the real deal. That's no stage prop; it's Chris's personal ride, and has seen years of off-roading and beach-hopping with him behind the wheel.

Armed with his Martin guitar and a warm, sincere vocal, Chris has been thrilling audiences throughout the mid-Atlantic since the late 90s. His style is a crafty blend of roadhouse twang and Caribbean soul, sounding like he paved his own personal highway between Nashville and the Florida Keys and travels back & forth between them constantly.

"I just wanna make people smile with the music that I play," Says Chris. "Artists like Jimmy Buffett, the Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, and Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers really hit the bulls-eye for me. It's good music that really moves you, whether you're away on vacation, or away for 3 to 5 years. That's what I think about when I pick up my guitar: songs that convey true emotion and tell a story that takes you away from it all for awhile."
