Chris Stefanetti's bass playing is at the core of his jazz and smooth jazz compositions. The California-born artist has developed a sound that transcends his early jazz, rock and fusion roots. A multifaceted and versatile bass talent, he covers the range of his music with a signature style and sound. Stefanetti's performance work has taken him to clubs, festivals and TV appearances all throughout the US and Canada including NBC's Saturday Night Live and the San Francisco Blues Festival. Versatility and fluency in any style are the trademarks of Chris's playing. From funk/slap, straight ahead jazz to rock, he is found comfortable in all. In his latest CD entitled "Wires and Wood" his bass is found providing a strong foundation as well as a lead role through all selections. Chris has performed and recorded with noted musicians and artists such as blues man Garth Weber, Bobby Hutcherson, Peter Horvath, Queen Ida and the Bon Temps Zydeco Band, smooth jazz artist Chris Camozzi, producer Walter Afanasieff, Alan Jones, Bob Moses, Hilary Jones, Tony Lindsey of Santana, Stef Burns, Full Faith and Credit Big Band, JP Cervoni, Vinnie Colaiuta, Scott Henderson and entertained countless audiences in club and concert performances throughout the span of his career.
