Chrissy Lovingood is an old soul singer-songwriter whose tales of heartbroken ramblers, gamblers, hopeless romantics, dreamers, the world weary and finding beauty in unexpected places add her voice to traditions held strong by her musical influences which include Gillian Welch, John Prine and Joni Mitchell. With vocals that run the range from sweet and warm to grisled and rough, her soulful delivery, brimming with unbridled feeling and vulnerability has captured the ears and hearts of her listeners. A rare writer whose folk-roots, county tunes serve up a tasty blend of thoughtful lyrics and catchy melodies. The debut EP, Freefallin recorded with with Alexy Guerer of Alexy and the Other Side is due for digital release Fall 2012
