Angelic is a word synonymously associated with the name Christen Zuch and her music. Her passion and innate musical gifts enable her to create a sound that is unique, yet familiar and relatable to every ear. Christen is one of the very few artists that has the ability to make children dance and adults think. The press have raved about her saying she has “vocal chops to wet even the driest eyes” and described her as “a quiet folk/roots singer with a story woven into each song.” She has described her creative style by saying, “I don’t sit and write lyrics like everyone else. I hear a melody and the words come to me and I just sing them.”

Her debut album Around You was released in 2008 under the name “Opposite of Blue”, performing as a duo with guitarist Jeremy Brendan Day. Keveen Korakor, French videographer and artist has said of the album, “The fluidity of her work is an invitation to joyfully frolic in happy places and perfectly illustrates in music what inner peace is”, and was moved to use several songs from it for his “Spread Your Love” campaign.

Zuch has been instrumental in organizing many singer/songwriter events both in Toronto and The Waterloo Region since 2003 including “In Memory of Steve” which raised over $5000 for the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre. She has shared with Ashley MacIsaac, Rob Szabo & Peter Katz among others and performs regularly with Mic Dainjah. Her duo “Opposite of Blue” performed at The Gap Born to Fit Launch Party, the largest-ever simultaneous live acoustic music event, hosted by Gap.

Christen's debut Solo EP 'Change is Coming' slated for April 16th 2011 release, with “indie guru” Rob Szabo as her producer, Christen is determined to take her music to a new level.
