"Thank You Christian!"

Christian,

I just wanted to take the time to say thank you so much for coming and speaking today at Southern Wesleyan. I have recently re-committed my life to Christ and this is was just the sermon I needed to hear. Its like was speaking directly to me. Thank you for sharing your heart with us because it helped me to know that even when we think our problems are too much to handle that God is right there waiting for us to call on him for help. You have an amazing testimony and today was the best chapel I have ever been to. I will be praying for you and your ministry. I can't say thank you enough.

"Faithful Servant"

Christian,

First, I want to thank you for being a faithful servant of God and coming to speak to us here at Southern Wesleyan University. I am the guy that had the sleeve of tats that was in the breakout session, and the one in the pink shirt at chapel was my roommate…haha. Personally, I was really inspired by your message, and what God is allowing you to do for his ministry. When I look at my goals, passions, and what God is doing in my life I could see myself in a similar situation as you. I struggle with the fact that there will be no place for my kind in the ministry, but then God reminds me that there most certainly is a place for me. Other times he allows people like you to cross my path, in the flesh, and prove to me that God will use me. I have a real passion for young adults and youth because that is where I really got off track. I grew up in a Christian home and never really had a bad example from my parents. I knew right from wrong, I just chose to do some really stupid things in life. I engulfed myself in drugs, alcohol, women, and God was nowhere to be found. I put on a fake mask on when I was around my family, and they “assumed” I was living a “Christian” life. I wrecked two cars while I was drunk, had run ins with the law, got in numerous fights, had scares with drugs, so I was basically caught up in that lifestyle and couldn’t get out. At 23 God rocked my world, despite the other things that happened to me in the past. This time it finally got my attention. I had been in a relationship with a girl for about 2 months and I was just head over heels for her. She broke up with me for whatever reason, and I was devastated. That little problem sent me to the lowest point that I have ever experienced. I couldn’t eat, didn’t want to go to work, didn’t want to party, didn’t want to hang out with my friends, didn’t want to do anything. I remembered what I had been taught for years, and remembered that God would always be there for us. I had my own place with some friends, so I drove home to where I knew I would get honest loving advice that wasn’t coming from my friends. I walked into my parent’s house and hit my knees and admitted to them how I had been living my life. I mean I told them everything. I needed help and I knew that they loved me and would listen. You can probably see where this is going…a few days later, on the floor of a family friend’s cabin, I asked Christ into my life. 2 years later God has led me here as a student of Christian Ministries. I know God has a plan for my life and that he wants me to make an impact in the lives of people that have had/or are having the problems that I faced in the past. I pray to God and read God’s word daily to try to sharpen this vision. After hearing you speak I really felt drawn to what you are doing. I mean I have seen plenty of youth pastors, but not exactly those that would go to the extent of the stories you were telling. I would just like to hear more about your ministry and receive whatever advice or encouragement you would have for me. Take care and you are in my prayers. God is definitely using you to further his kingdom and you are doing a great job at it.

""Ignite 08""

Christian,

I just wanted to drop a line and tell you how thankful I am for your involvement in “Ignite 08’” at North Pointe Community Church in Wilmington, NC. You were an inspirational speaker for both the youth and our congregation. Your passion for Christ is overflowing and was contagious. This event was truly moving for the youth and many made decisions to turn their lives over to God. There is nothing more gratifying than seeing the Youth making the decision to follow Christ and become the next generation for the Great Commission. The worship with The Jason Tuggle Band was phenomenal all weekend and then the concert Saturday night with Fighting Instinct. But Christian’s messages were truly God inspired and motivating for the Youth and the Leaders. The young man Matt that accompanied Christian was a breath of fresh air and proof that no matter who or where you are or where you come from, God can and will use you. It has been a challenge for me since I just moved to North Carolina in January, relocating for work. I came from a Church that was about 1700 strong with a youth group that averaged 200 kids and now attending a church that is around 150 strong with a small youth group. But this weekend reminded me of Matthew 18:20 and that the Spirit will consume regardless of the size of the Church or its members. God bless your organization and I pray that your ministry will remain strong and overflowing with God’s love. Keep on burning for Christ! Thanks again.

In Christ,

Bio

Christian Chapman is a passionate man, full of energy, enthusiasm, and an engaging personality. There’s a positive vibe in the air when Christian is in the room, and it won’t take long to discover his great love of Jesus.

Christian has served in ministry since graduating from Southern Wesleyan University, and his journey has been anything but ordinary. Christian’s success in college baseball led to playing with Athletes in Action where as a missionary he worked with South African nationals to develop an olympic-grade team. He’s competed nationally in a professional golf “Longest Drive” competition, raced motocross, and most recently has taken part in a racing-themed reality series on Spike TV.

No matter where God has led Christian, preaching and evangelizing have been part of his calling. His natural charisma and experiences in sports have led to international ministry opportunities where he’s led Bible studies for Nascar teams
and motocross racers, served as chaplain to football teams, and pastored collegians at Clemson University.

Christian has served as staff pastor at several churches ministering to youth, young adults, and adults, preaching the Word, training church planters, and investing in the spiritual growth of those in his care.

Christian lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his lovely wife, Amy, and three handsome boys, Malachi, Isaiah and
Jeremiah.
