A driving sound with an electric charge to it, that doesn't use a distortion pedal....and on an acoustic guitar no less!

Biography

As the product of two Classical Music and Art school graduates in a bohemian household, I am a jazz guitar major at Montgomery College in Rockville, Md. and a solo singer/songwriter as well. The impressions of blues, rock, jazz, bluegrass and soul have been stamped upon me with varied sprinkles of hip-hop, classical, and folk music. Musical influences to my tastes and style have been artists like Jimi Hendrix, Big and Rich, Simon & Garfunkel and the world beat of the Dave Matthews Band.
I have played in venues located in cites that range from Washington, DC, Boston, New York City, San Francisco and Berkley, CA to as far away as Monteverde, Costa Rica. While spending a year in Monteverde, Costa Rica volunteering at a bi-lingual school, I was able to wet my feet by performing at coffeehouses, open-mic nights, and school functions, but eventually moved onto featured spots at local restaurants, cafes.
Upon returning home to the DC area, I again worked my way up from open-mic nights and school functions to featured gigs around town. I have had the honor of performing at local area showcases through groups like D.C. Acoustic Underground, Gena’s Place Songwriter Showcase, the Songwriters Association of Washington and Germantown Live with Ken Salaets. Headlining spots include slots at Stain Cafe and Galleria in Brooklyn, NY, Staccato’s in Adams Morgan, DC, the Austin Grill in Silver Spring, Kramer’s Books and Café in Dupont Circle, DC and Caribou Coffee in Olney, MD. Other such highlights in my burgeoning career have been 2 headlining spots at the 2006 Montgomery County Fair in Gaithersburg, MD and the “Z-tent” V.I.P. Patio Stage during the Rascal Flatts show at Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, VA.

Lyrics

Driven

Written By: Christian Seith

The years they turn,
round, round and around.
So much to find,
in this passin' of time.
Passin' by my eye,
so quickly almost blind.
After all this, nothing there we find.
Except your eyes,
bound along the ground.
No matter how I try,
to walk to or talk with you
Just to ask why,
My love passes through!

-Chorus-
No Matter how our love grew
No time did we lose,
So much did we muse
But for what
ever reason you choose
The more I plea,
The farther you flea

Lying Down, up here in my room
My thoughts they drew,
and around you they loom.
Lying here I am,
Swept away, Kept away.
Led Astray by your beauty by your grace.
By the Haste, of your sudden change in taste.
To leave this place, lackin' time and space.
Who only you I chase,
seeking your embrace
Where both of us can lay,
and together we'll stay,
Dreaming and leaning,
upon eachother.
Growing ever stronger.

-CHORUS-

But after all this time, your interest it did peak.
Now I'm tired and left all so weak.
Weary of the harm, of this dreary old alarm.
That times clock blears in my ear,
waking my fear.
That I cannot wind back time,
Nor into your heart I will find!

-CHORUS-

Fall Away

Written By: Christian Seith

AS MY SUN RISES TODAY,
IT FOLLOWS CLOUDS LOOMING IN ITS WAY.
SHINING DIFFERENTLY FROM DAYS BEFORE,
LAYIN ON ME RAYS AS I LONG FOR,
BRIGHTER RAYS TO LAY ON ME MORE,
LIGHTER RAYS TO LAY BRIGHTER.

LIKE THE STONE IT WAS, THIS DAY WILL PASS,
LEAVING MY WORRIES FAR SURPASSED.
FEARS AND ANGUISH WILL REFRAIN,
AND MY TROUBLES WILL FALL AWAY!

AS THE SUN BURNS AWAY MY DAY,
I LAY HERE STILL IN DISMAY.
FROM THIS SHADOW FILLED WITH DOUBT,
CAST BEHIND ME, FOLLOWING ALL ABOUT.
THIS COLD DRAFT BREEZING THROUGH MY MIND,
LEAVING WARM THOUGHTS OF NO KIND.

LIKE THE STONE IT WAS, THIS DAY WILL PASS,
LEAVING MY WORRIES FAR SURPASSED.
FEARS AND ANGUISH WILL REFRAIN,
AND MY TROUBLES WILL FALL AWAY!

AS I RISE TO MEET THIS DAY,
MY BACK WILL GREET THIS DARKER SHADE.
MY FEET MOVING FROM THIS SPOT OF GRAY,
STEPPING TOWARDS WHAT I FELT BEFORE.
NOT LOOKING BACK, FACING MY EYES FORWARD,
LEAVING A DAY LITTLE TO ADORE.

LIKE THE STONE IT WAS, THIS DAY WILL PASS,
LEAVING MY WORRIES FAR SURPASSED.
FEARS AND ANGUISH WILL REFRAIN,
AND MY TROUBLES WILL FALL AWAY!

LIKE THE STONE IT WAS THIS DAY HAS PASSED,
LEAVING MY WAY CLEARER PATH!

Believe

Written By: Christian Seith

I do believe,
This to be,
The moment to preceed,
The moment I can breathe.
Left No longer blue,
waiting to come through,
And share this joy with you.
Creepin' closer,
Every Second to,
Meeting the Moment that I
Meet You!

Solidly Holding,
Sturdy as Glue,
Eyes Discreetly laid upon you,
CAUGHT!
By the attention that you drew.
Approaching slowly,
I walk to greet you,
Hands shaking jubilently,
To meet you!
Celebrating this time far past due,
This night to last hours through!

Listening, Leering and reaching through,
This darkness, fumbling, grasping your clue.
What's your pleasure?
What can I do?
So in these dim lights I'll love...
All of You!
