If you're blue because it's Monday, and it happens to be the first Monday of the month, hightail it over to Laugh Factory in Hollywood and check out 'Mockery Mondays' at 8pm. Your tears will be replaced with laughter and shock. Mary Lynn Rajskub and Christian Shirm host this terrific night featuring top-o-the-line comedians from television, film, and your happy place. Mary Lynn (yes, Chloe, from '24'), and Christian Shirm (yes, Christian, from the bible--just kidding, but she is on Showtime's 'Lipservice'), are two hilarious, talented, over-the-top female comics who will help you forget your sorrows and laugh at other people's sorrows.
In addition to their comedy guest star line up, both Mary Lynn and Christian also perform their own sets each month, and their styles of comedy are delightful. Mary Lynn surprises and disturbs with images of her secret sexual fantasies involving a UPS man. Christian, meanwhile, gyrates around the stage, shocking with tales of things that never should have happened, and laughing in what can only be described as a bird call (not to be missed!).
'Mockery Mondays' recently featured succulent headliner Kirk Fox, whom you've seen all over the place, from 'Parks and Recreation' to 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall', and every month the line-up changes, featuring a variety of comedy stars from stage and screen. The show plays to a crowded house, is complimented by 2 requisite drinks, and offers surprisingly good food (catered by Luca Fresh Bites). Admission is $20, and while the show starts at 8, be sure to arrive by 7:30 for the best seats. Audience members must be 18+ (so leave the kids in the car--windows cracked people, safety first).

Christian Shirm is one of the brightest new faces to prance her way into the comedy spotlight. Born and bred in South Florida by a single Dad from the Bronx, Christian is no doubt fierce vocally and physically. A born storyteller, her recreation of the characters in her life is mesmerizing. She channels her wild, childlike energy and rapier wit to give you a performance you will never forget. It doesn’t matter what she says, she’s funny.
Christian just finished taping her stand up for the comedy special "Lip Service" for Showtime. In addition, Christian won 1st place in 'Uncle Clyde's Comedy Contest' at the Ice House in Pasadena 08' and was voted 'Best of Fest' in The Detroit International Comedy Festival 09'. She was opening weekly for Jon Lovitz at his new club in 10'.
You’ve also seen her on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Si-TV and Aol’s Comedy Time. Christian has opened for Jon Lovitz, Maria Bamford, Loni Love, Ian Bagg, and Ryan Hamilton.
Lily Tomlin said, "You are great. You have great characters. Keep it up. You're on your way."
Jon Lovitz, from Saturday Night Live, stopped Christian after her set at his new club and said, "Can I tell you something? You're funny. NO, You're really funny. You're just fun to watch."
