"Momma she sang... the country into me." Basicly, for me this is true. I've been listening to country music all my life, thanks to Mom's favorite music style. Why do I stick to country music? Because, as Trace Adkins says, "They're songs about me". Country music has the best "story songs" along with songs with feelings included that everyone can relate to.
"In America" reminds many people of Lee Greenwood's song, "God Bless The USA". Undoubtedly, he is an influence to my song. Other artists whose music influences my own vocal style includes Reba McEntire and Shania Twain.
I am only sixteen, but as I have grown older, my religious faith has grown stronger and hence, my debut single is a Christian Country ballad. "In America" explains everything that I love about my country, my life and my family. There is no way that I could be more thankful for all that God has given me. I have a family who loves me dearly, friends who believe in me, and a life that I would never trade for anything.
