Nestled in a quiet garage, on a quiet street, in a quiet neighborhood – Christina Bailey is making a loud record. Stirring together the classic rock sounds of her childhood with the 90's grunge sound of her adolescence, and an unabashed love for Top 40 ballads, Christina’s upcoming solo debut effort CHRISTINA BAILEY & THE CIVIL MEN – LOVE AND WAR (set for release in early Spring 2013) is something to be excited about.

Love And War is a concept EP with two very different sides. The Love Side – a trio of Southern Rock inspired tunes about Love, with splashes of Nashville twang, and The War Side – a tied together trio of rock driven tunes with booming vocals, soaring electric guitar solos and driving drums and bass about … War. Each collection different, but together they make up a small taste of the kind of writing Christina has kept locked away until now.

Since 2009 Christina has been touring the live music scene in the Pacific Northwest with bands. After recording a set of demos in Nashville, she formed indie rock group Big American Family, who took Christina’s songs and band originals around California for almost two years, sharing stages with classic music royalty like The Doobie Brothers, Three Dog Night, and up and coming artists like Carney and Truth & Salvage Co.

Following touring and recording with BAF, Christina joined forces with a collaborative of genre bending singer-songwriters to form folk/americana female fronted band: honeymoon. Since coming together with honeymoon, Christina has continued to tour the West Coast and expand her catalog of shared stages. honeymoon tours frequently with blues rock phenom Jackie Greene and has supported a variety of artists like Punch Brothers, Akron Family, and Mary Chapin Carpenter, who all took honeymoon to outstanding venues all over California. The Greek, Balboa Theater, The Grove on and on. With individuality in the whole as a key focus with honeymoon, the bands shows consist of original songs by all members and original band songs written together. honeymoon songs are available in an EP called – After The Flood.

After releasing and supporting honeymoon’s EP, Christina recently went back to her roots to form her first rock infused solo backing band – The Civil Men – . Compiled of family, best friends, and overall fantastic musicians, The Civil Men are the rockin’ dudes who help bring Christina’s songs to life. The release of Love & War will not only introduce you to Christina and The Civil Men’s style, but will invite you to become a part of a full fledged passion project. Love & War is a concept record, recorded mobiley in houses and significant places in Christina’s life.

Set to be pressed on vinyl, wrapped in original artwork, and laced with lyrics and original short stories inspired by each song, the EP will also include crowd sounds and layered voices of project supporters as they tell stories of when they took a chance.
