Christina Callicott is a singer-songwriter hailing from the San Juan mountains of Southwest Colorado. An accomplished guitarist, she plays and sings everything from old-time folk music to blues and rock and roll. She is best known as a lyricist for the Colorado-based band the String Cheese Incident, with whom she wrote songs such as “Cottonmouth,” “Cedar,” and “Desert Dawn.”
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Christina grew up with a love of traditional music and storytelling. She has been performing on stage for the last decade at venues from North Carolina to Colorado, including the Elk’s Park stage at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 2005 and 2006. She joined other Telluride-based songwriters on the compiliation CD Telluride Row, where she is pictured on the cover. She currently resides in Ridgway, Colorado.
Christina mostly performs solo but works with several accompanists as well. Please contact her for availability.
