Christina DeSouza

Christina DeSouza is currently working on her first album containing self-composed music. She not only writes her own songs but also plays guitar, enjoys harmonizing and other instrumentation. As a worship leader in her youth group and a leader in her top honors choir she has been given many opportunities to share her gifts with others and has been writing music since her seventh grade year. April 2009 she won the Maestro's award for the most outstanding soloist at the Heritage Music Festival in San-Fransisco. In the same year she also placed in the top five at the "Oregon's Got Talent," competition in February. While still in High School she has participated in two major musicals and has been elected the student body Vice-President. She not only leads with a positive message in her music but also with her character.

Christina is a seventeen year old senior in High School. She believes that her age is beneficial because she has a teachable heart and desires to become a better singer as well as a songwriter. No matter how many plans she will make for her own future she feels that God keeps stirring the passion he has given her for music. The biggest influences in her life have been her Mother and worship pastor. Both have pushed her to become more confident in who she is on stage and off. They continuously remind her why she should share her gifts with the world. Christina wants to share with young people everywhere that they don't have to compromise who they are in the world to become what they want to be. Her music focuses on personal and real life experiences that reflect her passion. Her goal is to treat every song she writes as a precious tool each having a specific purpose and message. Christina looks forward to new opportunities to learn and expand her gifts and talents.
