My Blue Subaru

Written By: Christina Thompson

My Blue Subaru

There she was, I couldn’t believe my eyes.
After all we had been through and all the lies.
There was my ex-wife in the movie theatre with another man.
I stood there and watched as they walked away hand in hand.

Chorus:
You know honestly, it wasn’t seeing her that hurt so much.
I had worked through some issues and such and such.
But when I saw them get into my blue Subaru,
It was then that I almost came unglued.
Chorus ends

She knew just how much I loved my car.
And believe me, she took the divorce a little too far.
I guess she eventually realized she couldn’t get anymore,
When she walked out as I sat in our empty house on the floor.

Chorus:
You know honestly, it wasn’t seeing her that hurt so much.
I had worked through some issues and such and such.
But when I saw them get into my blue Subaru,
It was then that I almost came unglued.
Chorus ends

She just about took all I ever had, including my car.
She took the furniture and even the alcohol from our full bar
I didn’t care so much about all that stuff.
But when it came to my car, I should’ve been more tough.

Chorus:
You know honestly, it wasn’t seeing her that hurt so much.
I had worked through some issues and such and such.
But when I saw them get into my blue Subaru,
It was then that I almost came unglued.
Chorus ends
