Baby you look at me
Hoping I’ll bat my eyes
Laugh every time you speak
Act like I’m constantly surprised

Baby you speak to me
Like I’m just two years old
Explaining everything
As if my brain should be a joke

*Well I can be your bimbo if you want me to
*I can smack on gum and look real cute
*I can play it dumb and act off your cues
*I can be your bimbo if you want me to

Baby walk up to me
Like you just hung the moon
I should feel so lucky
To have a handsome guy like you

Baby you’re my hero
I could have broken a nail
Just tryin to lift the weight
Of the clothes I bought on sale

But baby, I’m no Barbie Doll
I’m not than thin, I’m not that tall
Yeah I’ve got curves, I’ve got strength,
I’ve got spirit and my head on straight.

*But I can be your bimbo if you want me to
*I can smack on gum and look real cute
*I can play it dumb and act off your cues
*I can be your bimbo if you want me to

How far do we have to fall before it hurts?
How long can we play with fire before it burns?

Well, this time the pain was enough.
So, forgive me for being so dumb.

*These hurts, these burns
*These fears, these tears
*These stains and this pain,
*Cement me in your embrace
* Oh you cement me in your embrace.

How much do you have to cry before it stains?
How deep does it have to cut before it breaks?

Well, this time the pain was enough.
So, forgive me for being so dumb.

*These hurts, these burns
*These fears, these tears
*These stains and this pain,
*Cement me in your embrace
* Oh you cement me in your embrace

You Never said, “I told you so!”
But you did allow me to let go.
Let go, let go, let go…

Total Waste of Makeup

Total Waste of Makeup
Words & music by Christin Cook,©Weird Hair Music, 2004

It’s Friday Night, the time is right
For our date, hope you’re not late
Been planning all week to sweep you off your feet
So you’ll see, you were meant for me

New dress, new shoes, hairspray, perfume,
All this trouble
On the double

This was a total waste of makeup
And this is a very bitter break up
And this was a total waste of makeup
And this is a very bitter breakup
You are a waste of makeup!

Table set for 2
Hours missing you
Then the phone says
You’re sick at home.
I drive to the mall
Dwelling on your call
Then I see you
Kissing you know who

Red alert, it’s gonna hurt
Do I come off dumb?
Well, It takes one to know one

This was a total waste of makeup
And this is a very bitter break up
And this was a total waste of makeup
And this is a very bitter breakup
You are a waste of makeup

Thanks for the warning
There’s so much else I could’ve been doing

Like
Washing my hair, flossing my cat
Checking fridge labels to see if their bad
fill my potential, match up my sox
Touring China with a band named WOK
Learning to yodel, call up Pat Boone
Nueter the plants, Poke a badger with a spoon

But none of these came to mind at the time

This was a total waste of makeup
And this is a very bitter break up
And this was a total waste of makeup
And this is a very bitter breakup
You are a waste of makeup!

The two types of shows:

One is with a full band when on tour, the music is pop rock with an Muse type edge and then a segment in the middle that is more acoustic. Most all the music is original with just a few covers. Typically an hour and a half long.

The second type is an acoustic show for filler dates when off tour. Mostly covers in bars and pubs, but they also provide a platform to try new songs on a real audience before recording them. The typical night is from 8:30 to 1:30am. The songs are a variety of rock, country, top 40, oldies (80's),pop.
