Bio
Christine is the head of a project that combines music, acting performance, vidéo, drawing and photography ; she likes to be in danger, probably because of her dramatic
background. The Queens are those invisible godmothers who feed the imagery. The rest is homemade by Christine, all on her own.
On stage : a microphone, a computer. No matter how big the venues are (she opened for The Do and Lykke Li this year). One could say the gamble is quite risky, another could
say it's bold. She would say this is very "Freaky". She has the impressive energy of immoderation ; the glamour is never far away from its parody, the swaying hips are manlier than expected, the sad songs are glittery and the lyrical melodies bare their own subversion : "I don't smell good, yeah, but i'm gorgeous" is one of Christine's many mottos.
Christine learnt a lot from the drag Queens she met in London. They are the reason why everything else started. They think she looks just like Greta Garbo ?
She will choose to be called Christine in reference to the movie Queen Christina. And when they say they wont
be a part of the band Christine created with them, she decides to work on her voice to sing the missing choirs.
Snaps, deep beats, and ever-present subs, MichaelJackson for the rhythmic and Kate Bush for the aerial melodies.
After a first EP, Miséricorde, released last year, a new one, Mac Abbey, is about to be available in France next january.
