Back in the Fall of '09, Christian Donadel of North York, and Mike Welch of Weston, came together to create what is known as Christmas In Bethlehem, a group with a different and dynamic style of Indie and Hip-Hop. Together they produce indie rock songs blended with layers of hip-hop to create a very authentic sound that incorporates many different genres inbetween, and brings a refreshing lyrical style to the table, usually involving strange characters and and twisted themes.
Among their influences are Kanye West, Radiohead, Gorillaz, Modest Mouse, Supertramp, Q-Tip, Hi-tek, Charles Mingus and Thelonious Monk. Old propaganda films, usually dating from the early 50's and onward are among their main source of inspiration, usually incorporating samples from them.
